SCCA concluded its official visit to UK by signing MOU with the Arab British Chamber of Commerce

As part of the Saudi Center of Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) efforts to support foreign investments in Saudi Arabia contributing to achieve the National Transformation Program 2020 and the Kingdom's Vision 2030 vie promoting an effective ADR services in an international standards, and fulfilling its national duty as the Kingdom's official representative nationally and internationally in the field of arbitration, SCCA carried out  a business trip to England, the trip included visits, discussions and an exploration for prospects of cooperation with England's leading international disputes resolution as the International Disputes Resolution Center (IDCR), and Center for Effective Disputes Resolution (SEDR), and JAMS International Center for Mediation and Arbitration.
     In addition, SCCA attended several workshops with several of the world best ADR training centers (CIArb) and Queen Mary University of London. During these workshops, SCCA's experience in relation to its advanced mediation and arbitration training programs as well as the specialized workshops that SCCA held for Judges, arbitrators and mediators, discussing the potential cooperation in these fields. 
Furthermore, SCCA attended introductory with an elite of the international law firms in London, presenting the massive leap the field of arbitration in Saudi Arabia through the effective and efficient ADR and institutional services in accordance with the world best and most recent practices, showing the harmonization between SCCA and the Judicial entities in connection to enforcing the arbitral awards.
The business trip was concluded with a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony of which was signed by SCCA's Chief Executive Officer Dr Hamed Bin Hassan Merah and Dr Afnan Al-Shuaiby the Secretary General of the Arab British Chamber of Commerce (A-BCC) (an International non-profit organization of which is connected to investments and commercial relations between England and Arab Countries.
The MOU included the cooperation to enable parties to access to Arab-British Business community and other related bodies in order to raise awareness of ADR services that is familiar with the local practices, and in the same time compatible the highest international standards.
On this occasion, Mr. Yassen Bin Khalid Khayat, Chairman of SCCA's Board of Directors stated " SCCA's delegation visit to England and all the included activities and signing the MOU with (A-BCC) comes within the SCCA's role of which is targeting foreign businesses, as commitment to provide the best ADR services to create an attractive investment environment from all aspects and highlighting the advanced status that institutional arbitration reached in the Kingdom. 
For its part, Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaiby stressed the importance of supporting foreign investments in the Kingdom adding that commercial arbitration is one important element that foreign investors are considering before doing business in the Saudi market and signing MOU with SCCA supporting these initiatives is one of A-BCC important targets that the Chamber is aiming to achieve in order to grant a successful commercial trade between Saudi and British Parties.
