The SCCA meets with the H.E. Minister of Commerce and Investment

As part of center’s continuous efforts to work in line with Saudi Vision 2030, SCCA’s Board Chairman Mr. Yassin bin Khalid Khayyat, Board Members Dr. Ali AlSuwailim and Mr. Khalid AlSaleh and CEO Dr. Hamid Merah met H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi. SCCA’s achievements during the past two years were presented and elaborated on to Dr. Al Qasabi who congratulated SCCA for such national achievements. Importance of promoting and implementing institutional arbitration best practices in the kingdom was further emphasized during the meeting.
SCCA has been working tirelessly to reach out to the local and foreign business environments and spread awareness on institutional arbitration practice in the kingdom. H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi praised the center’s international standards and expressed is full support of its mission to advance arbitration and ADR practices attracting local and foreign investors to the Kingdom.
Mr. Khayyat and Dr. Merah thanked H.E. Dr. AlQasabi for the support the center’s has always been receiving from MCI in order to develop the institutional arbitration industry in the Kingdom and create a positive investment environment that meets the expectations of the commercial and investment sector. Dr. Hamed Merah assured that SCCA will continue to develop alternative disputes resolution in accordance with the best international standards, considering that arbitration and mediation are the most preferred alternatives for investors to settle their disputes.
