As part of its efforts to develop the Institutional ADR industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as per the best international practices and achieving the kingdom goals of offering an attractive investment environment to both international and local investors, the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) strengthened its partnership through signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). The MOU included cooperation in providing internationally approved training programs to qualify arbitrators and mediators. It also aims to boost the level of qualification and training of sharia specialists, legal practitioners and interested personnel in the most advanced institutional practices related to arbitration and mediation. This is to guarantee the availability of highly efficient and quality arbitrators and mediators, a matter which will positively reflect on the practices and outputs of arbitration and medication sectors in general and the institutional arbitration practices and outputs in particular. This comes concurrently with the SCCA's resumption of opening the door for receiving Roster panel applications from interested arbitrators, mediators and all those qualified and meeting the updated conditions.
