The Omani Ambassador visits SCCA headquarters to review its services for settling disputes

The Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), at its headquarters in Riyadh, received the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Mr. Faisal bin Turki Al Said, accompanied by the official of the economic and cultural section of the Embassy, Mr. Mubarak Al-Wahaibi.
The Ambassador was received by SCCA's CEO, Dr. Hamed bin Hassan Merah, and a number of the center's leaders, where the center briefed his Excellency on the latest arbitration and mediation services that the center offer to serve the business sectors and companies and enhance their access to prompt justice.
SCCA briefed His Highness on the development process of the institutional arbitration industry in the Kingdom, the legislative and judicial support by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to advance the industry in a way that supports the facilitation of doing business and attracting local and foreign investments.
The meeting dealt with possible aspects of cooperation between SCCA and the embassy in serving the Saudi-Omani business community, including urging Saudi and Omani investors to include the institutional arbitration and mediation clause in their commercial contracts and its impact on preventing disputes and enhancing the efficiency of their settlement, in addition to raising awareness of alternatives to dispute settlement through holding joint events.
The ambassador also toured SCCA's facilities, and was briefed on the technical and administrative equipment provided by SCCA to host arbitration and mediation sessions, and to enable the parties to the cases to hold their sessions in a way that enables them to settle the existing dispute and resume the practice of commercial activity.
