Sarah Lancaster was appointed Chambers Director of Arbitration Chambers in November 2020, where she is responsible for the operations and growth of Chambers. In addition to supporting its members with their own practices, Sarah is available to act as arbitrator in small to medium sized commercial arbitrations.
Before joining Arbitration Chambers, Sarah spent eight years as the Registrar of the LCIA, where she was ultimately responsible for the day-to-day administration of hundreds of arbitrations each year, as well as leading improvements to internal processes. Prior to that, she spent 14 years practicing law with Baker McKenzie, in London and Sydney, where her practice incorporated litigation and international arbitration of commercial disputes, with a particular focus on energy and resources, telecoms and IT.
Sarah has an LLB (Law with European Law) with first class honours from the University of Nottingham and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Sports Law from Kings College, London. She is admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales, New South Wales (Australia) and the High Court of Australia.
