The Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) is financially and administratively independent, not-for-profit legal entity that provides a wide range of alternative dispute resolution services in innovative formats that meet the needs of various business sectors on the local, regional, and international levels and keep pace with international standards and best practices, with a view to establishing a modern ADR foundation in Saudi Arabia and MENA region, have been established by Saudi Cabinet Decree in April 2014. 

SCCA Statute
  • The SCCA shall be a non-profit entity and shall have a legal personality and financial and administrative independence.
  • The formation of the SCCA’s board of directors shall be pursuant to an order by the Prime Minister... The members may not hold a government post or position while serving on the Board.
  • The arbitration tribunal shall carry out its duties independently from the Board and shall not receive instructions therefrom in relation to its duties.
  • The Board shall be the SCCA’s highest authority.
