He has 20 years of experience in commercial law and Islamic banking in KSA, including extensive experience in establishing new organizations that combine Sharia and law, accounting and finance, and management and planning.
He served as Secretary-General of the Saudi Bankruptcy Commission, the first government agency specialized in the settlement of bankruptcy cases. Previously, Majed was the CEO of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), the General Manager of the Shariah Sector and the Secretary of the Sharia Board at Bank Albilad.
Dr. Majed is a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, a member of the Board of Directors of SBA Settlement and Arbitration Center in KSA, and Vice-Chairman of the ZATCA Sharia Committee. Previously, he was the Chairman of the Islamic Banking Committee for banks operating in the Kingdom.
