SCCA Launches Public Consultation on Draft Mediation Rules
The Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) today announced the launch of a public consultation on the draft version of its SCCA Mediation Rules, scheduled for publication in early 2026. The consultation marks a significant step in SCCA’s ongoing efforts to elevate the standards of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) across the region.
The draft rules are the result of nearly a year of development conducted in close coordination with a distinguished group of international specialists serving on the SCCA Global Advisory Committee. This effort underscores SCCA’s commitment to strengthening its institutional framework in line with globally recognized principles and practices.
The proposed 2026 draft introduces several substantive updates to the existing rules and fee schedule. These enhancements aim to ensure that the administration of mediation proceedings remains flexible, efficient, and accessible, while upholding the highest levels of neutrality, fairness, and procedural integrity.
As part of its commitment to transparency and stakeholder engagement, SCCA has made the draft rules publicly available and invites feedback from users, practitioners, industry partners, and the wider legal and business communities. Interested parties may submit their comments through the consultation page until 3 December 2025.
SCCA stated that the consultation process is a key component of its mission to provide world-class ADR services and to contribute to the development of a trusted, business-friendly dispute resolution environment in the Kingdom and beyond.
